OUR MISSION

To share memorable experiences within the unique natural environments surrounding Byron Bay to give visitors a greater understanding and appreciation for the region's natural wonders.

We want to create awareness of the challenges facing the forest and its native wildlife and contribute towards restoring and protecting the rainforest by giving back to local regeneration organisations.

We are committed to consistently improving our environmental footprint, including leaving no trace at destinations and finding innovative ways to reduce carbon emissions.

RAINFOREST REGENERATION

We're planting trees on your behalf

We have partnered with local not-for-profit Reforest Now to ensure that future generations can continue to be inspired by the ancient Big Scrub Rainforest. Each booking with Earthbound Tours will plant a tree to expand the existing rainforest remnants, providing homes for endangered wildlife and clean water and fresh air for the community.

James

James is a Byron Bay local who loves the region - the rainforest, the ocean and the people. With a degree in Environments and a background working as a tour guide in Portugal, he currently works with a local charity organisation to support the health and natural habitat of our natural bee pollinators. He is always keen to set out on a bush walk to share the natural beauty of a unique part of the world. Tune in to the peaceful sounds of the rainforest under the canopy of giant old-growth trees.

Tess Profile

Tess

Before calling the Byron Bay hinterland home, Tess has explored some of Australia’s ancient natural environments, such as the Daintree rainforest and Uluru. Since discovering her love for the local Big Scrub Rainforest, she has worked in regeneration to help protect the rainforest remnants in the Byron Bay region. Tess is looking forward to exploring her favourite destinations whilst having fun and sharing her local knowledge.

Acknowledgement of Country

Earthbound Tours respects and acknowledges the Bundjalung people as the Traditional Owners of the land in which we operate. We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, skies and culture. We pay our respects to their elders, past, present and emerging and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
